A Google Ways to Help

Does anyone else remember when "google" was just a noun, and not a verb? A google is the number 10^100--that is, a 1 with one hundred 0's after it. Now, of course, the word is mostly used as a verb, as in "I'm going to google for some good news." Well, Google (as in the company) is sponsoring a competition to find good ideas to help people. Specifically, to help as many people as possible--maybe even a google people (not that there are that many people, but still). They got over 100,000 entries, so there's a lot of reasons to be hopeful! Google has committed $10 million to implement up to 5 of the projects. One hundred of the ideas submitted will be posted, and we all get to vote on them. The votes will narrow the field to the top 20 finalists, and then an advisory board will make the final decision.
