Sunshine State

Just in time for Earth Day...

A Florida developer announced that it is working on a new planned community in Florida that would operate on solar power. The company is headed by a former NFL player, Syd Kitson, whose vision is a 19,500-home city northeast of Fort Myers. The ambitious plans also include having charging stations for electric cars and wifi throughout the city. If construction of the solar plant is approved, groundbreaking would occur later year, and work on the city itself would begin in 2010.
