Quenching Fires

If you live in Yorba Linda, California, fires are a frequent threat. If you are Jeff Reaves, you are prepared. Mr. Reaves has a construction company, and during fire season every fall, he would regularly park a 2,250-gallon water truck in front of his house. Last November, his neighborhood was threatened by a fire, and he went around, saturating homes and yards to keep them safe. The fire crews were unable to come, so he worked for almost 19 hours straight, doing what he could to save the neighborhood. Through this, he got some help from a neighbor, Randy Bremer, and a friend, Sam Easterday, who ended up losing his own house.
