If you've ever stayed at a hotel and thought that the daily replacement of all those little individual-sized toiletries was a waste, you'll be pleased to know that Holland America Line is finding a way to donate their leftover stateroom amenities to shelters. That way, shelters near the Port of San Diego have a way to supply people who need them with toiletries, and the landfills get a bit of a break. In addition, the cruise ship line has also said it will periodically donate other items, such as dishes and silverware.
